Anemia can happen at any age or stage of life, for a variety of reasons.

There are 4 types of anemias we will be talking about in this exploration into Quantum Anemia Theories:

  1. Nutritional anemias: iron-deficiency, b-12 deficiency, folate deficiency, etc. can cause anemias due to low intake or poor absorption

  2. Pregnancy-related anemias: pregnancy can cause anemias due to increased demand for nutrients plus expansion of blood volume (higher plasma ratio means lower relative number of red blood cells)

  3. Anemias related to chronic health conditions: underlying health conditions (and/or the medications used to treat chronic diseases) can contribute to or cause anemias

  4. Rare and inherited anemias: many unique situations can cause anemia that don’t fit into any of the categories above
