We were never meant to spend our days alone with our babies
Social cues are circadian cues

Social cues are circadian cues.
We were never meant to spend our days alone with our babies.
This is one of many things that has gotten easier as my family has grown.
Reading or hearing first time moms sharing their experiences brings me back to those long, painful days.
Thirteen hours alone at home with a new baby in a new town… gosh those were the loneliest days of my life just waiting for my husband to get home.
Three things that changed:
We moved back to my hometown
We decided to homeschool and networked with amazing women ahead of me
We had more children—with a teenager and four younger ones now, there’s hardly a dull or quiet moment and I am surrounded be hilarious social chatter all day, everyday
My energy and sleep have never been better; I feel strong and amazing.
When I have low moments, as we all do, I have the mental ease to just sink into them with the full confidence I’ll be cared for and on the upswing in good enough time.
Some other things that have really helped:
Circadian and light practices for mood
Root Cause Protocol and supplementing with topical magnesium, magnesium baths and adrenal cocktails with real fresh citrus
Getting better at work from home, entrepreneurship and budgeting and the family having more stability thereby
I hope this is helpful to any of the mamas out there who may be feeling unstable and lonely.
Get out there and find some mothers ahead of you to make friends with!
And one last pro tip: frequent the park, playgrounds, library, museums etc while school is in session—families who are there at that time are likely to be homeschoolers who are as eager for connection as you are!
While digital can never replace the physical, we do have a wonderful community here inside of Brighter Days, Darker Nights. We have a supportive group chat here, deep archive of over 300 in-depth resources, and I host many virtual get-togethers on the multifaceted nature of circadian and quantum biology through the family years. I’ve been hearing a lot of enthusiasm from women in the community for entrepreneurship support (I’ve been contributing to my family’s income through virtual methods since 2014, sometimes even carrying the full financial picture for us). We will be continuing to weave the threads of motherhood and circadian rhythms and entrepreneurship development in the upcoming months. To everyone who is a paying member, THANK YOU! and if you have been waiting for the right moment to join, I’d love to see you today. Upgrade to paid here, or manage your subscription here for a prorated upgrade from the regular paid tier to the new Sun, moon & stars tier for a personal circadian schedule audit.
