Fourth module: Looking closer at preterm birth as a contributing factor to newborn jaundice
Learn how lack of connection to nature underlies the most common reasons for preterm birth and subsequent newborn jaundice, and overlooked choices that make for a strong, healthy, full-term pregnancy
We support babies in the womb by supporting their mothers and fathers. The whole family is involved, from the quality of the sperm and egg, all the way through the health of the pregnancy pregnancy and how the baby is born. Preterm birth is the biggest risk factor for severe and long-term outcomes from jaundice.
Parental health is so connected to the growing baby. It’s very rare for perfectly healthy parents to have a baby who needs to be born prematurely.
There is a ton of nutritional advice out there, a ton of exercise advice, lists of supplements and medications to take/not take, and these exist for both mothers and fathers.
But, again, there’s a fundamental paradigm shift that needs to be made.

Humans live on the Earth, but the Earth is not a 2-D plane. It has dimension. It has a stratosphere, a sky, a ground.
So it’s time to think not of living “on” the earth, but to recognize the truth that we live “in” the Earth, part of both ground and sky.
And as beings living “in” the Earth like a cell in a body, we are not “apart” from the Earth, but “a part” of the Earth.
Sure, we can jump off the ground of our own accord, but we cannot jump out of the sky, even with the most novel technology.
In Nature, individual health is a product of ecosystem health.
Yet so many of us look to doctors and care providers for healing.
This mainstream care sees “Vitamin N”, Nature, as a novelty.
But more and more we are seeing this truth: for health at the most fundamental level, connection to Nature and the Earth is the necessary.
The more connected to Nature, the more healthy a family can be. Particularly if they are able to live in a healthy place with a thriving ecosystem.
Involvement with your physical, geographical location is where bioelectric cellular hydration meets the circadian processes of cell growth and recycling.
Parents welcoming new life need to understand newborn jaundice is an early sign they are out of sync with their geographical location on Earth.
Watch the interview below for another perspective on this:
Later in life, babies who have had jaundice (even babies that never get to the “severe” stage) are more likely to go on to have developmental disorders, metabolic disorders, cancer, and other health challenges than babies who never had any jaundice. Part of this may be from conventional treatment itself!
Thus, reducing the incidence and severity of jaundice in not only helps protect newborn bonding with the mother and family; avoiding newborn jaundice can be a lifelong gift of wellness to a new baby.
The protocol outlined later in this course offers proven ways to live inside, rather than on top of, your local Ecosystem. It also includes the research about how these choices also help reduce the risk of spontaneous preterm birth and reduce the most common factors that cause providers and parents to elect early induction: preeclampsia, growth restriction, placental dysfunction, and maternal liver failure.
Before the baby is born, there is so much more that can be done to promote baby’s health! And having a healthy baby is the very best defence against jaundice.
In this course, we are looking at health factors that directly relate to the onset and progression of jaundice: oxidative stress and circadian rhythmicity.

Now that you have a footing in what is going wrong that is leading to jaundice—the modern rejection of Nature—let’s get into the physiologic side of things in the next module.
Yes, these current conditions are not optimal, but our bodies and our babies’ bodies are powerful and smart. That is why nature made bilirubin and why newborn jaundice is truly a physiological process that serves a good purpose in the Earthside transition.
