There is a natural rise in oxidant force in pregnancy.
You can think of those oxidants as extra (+) charge.
Normally, the body is rich in antioxidant protections.
You can think of those antioxidants as extra (-) charge.
In this context, + isn’t bad, nor is - good.
They are forces that balance the electrical charges inside of cells.
However, in today’s modern world, there are 5 big problems that make women less rich in antioxidants, and this is a major contributor to oxidativestress that negatively affects women’s reproductive health.
A few research snippets related to redox balance in pregnancy
These challenges are:
• artificial light
• mistimed eating
• dehydrated collagen/fascia
• nutritional deficiencies (especially amino acids, minerals, b vitamins, and DHA/EPA)
• dysfunctional mitochondrial inheritance (and the need/ability to repair it)
And for all of these, I believe circadian and quantum health practices offer the most direct routes to restoring balance during the delicate time of pregnancy.
A reason for this is through quantum health, we can support the body’s own antioxidant production and recharge the extracellular matrix with electrons from the natural environment.
By comparison, most modern research inquiries have been looking towards supplemental antioxidants and medicines—to mixed or even negative results.
This is because in pregnancy, the body is creating a tight balance of redox, which includes both the positive and negative charges. This is the scale:
Optimal redox is a sign of optimal mitochondrial health, which is necessary for healthy pregnancy.
In medicine, we don’t yet have widely available redox tests to get ahead of these issues.
That’s where learning about the things like I listed above that are known to detract from it (non-native light and electromagnetic frequencies, mistimed eating during the rest cycle, insufficient sleep and darkness, lack of physical activity or conversely too much physical activity, nutritional depletion—and all of these especially impact a person who may have inherited damaged mitochondria from their mother being exposed to these same challenges) is the first step towards avoiding the problems modern medicine doesn’t do a great job of healing…
…Such as most chronic health issues, and nurturing the physiological progression of pregnancy and birth.
So, to wrap up this concept: the increased metabolic activity of pregnancy leads to greater production of oxidant forces, and many of today’s mothers are at a disadvantage in dealing with this because their natural antioxidant protections are not available in sufficient quantities.
If bioelectric health was on the brink before pregnancy, it can be tipped over by the increased demands of pregnancy.
To get ahead of this, stabilizing and strengthening circadian rhythms is a key, as is spending ample time in natural environments where free electrons can charge the fascia to deliver (+) and (-) charges wherever they are needed.
Being in natural environments, away from non-native electromagnetic frequencies, is key to re-hydrating fascia and the collagen network and getting the extra electrical energy for the pregnancy to progress naturally and with ease.
And we can also look at this as a way to activate melanin’s ability to capture (-) from the splitting of the water molecule.
All of this is beneficial for redox balance, and also reduces the strain on the digestive system because more of energy is from the environment.
This in turn leaves more of the bulk matter eaten for actual building and remodeling, instead of having to burn it up for energy.
In another post soon, I’ll describe how oxidant force rises again in the labor process with all the work of squeezing baby Earthside and how to support that by designing the birth space with natural light and an understanding of electromagnetic hygiene in mind.
Stay tuned! Share this with a friend if you feel like it :) Also, I have a workshop available to paid subscribers here that teaches you how to optimize the circadian rhythm in pregnancy. You can find it on the home page.
